Both countries launched the Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Joint Investment Company with a capital of $500 million, aimed at financing new projects in automotive, oil-gas, petrochemical, agriculture, construction, and tourism sectors.
Chevrolet and Isuzu vehicles, as well as joint bus production projects, exemplify industrial cooperation. The goal is to raise trade volume to $1 billion by 2030.
Transport-Logistics
In 2025, 1.4 million tonnes of transit cargo flowed between the two countries. The China-Kazakhstan-Caspian-Azerbaijan and China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan rail corridors strengthen the Central-Asian-Caspian transport network. Connections through Turkmenistan and the Caspian to Azerbaijan expand the "Middle Corridor" geography.
Energy
A joint green-energy corridor initiative involving Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan is underway. Renewable electricity will be transmitted to the Caspian Sea and subsequently to the Caspian-South Caucasus and European energy grids.
Cultural Cooperation
The 960-seat Mirzo Ulug‘bek school in Fuzuli, Azerbaijan, built by Uzbekistan, along with Uzbek and Azerbaijani gardens in Baku and Tashkent, strengthen cultural ties. Exchanges among experts, journalists, scholars, and professors broaden the social base.
