New Projects
Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of Azerbaijan. During this meeting new projects and agreements were signed between the two countries. The meeting included the launch of the New Tashkent project, opening a new campus of the Uzbekistan National Pedagogical University named Nizomiy, and starting the establishment of an “Azerbaijan” branch in New Tashkent.
Agreements
A historic friendship treaty and a bundle of friendly documents were signed. Both countries were honored with high state awards, and a number of joint projects received a launch phase. The presidents honored each other with top-level awards.
Bukhara Events
The summit continued in Bukhara. State leaders toured the historic monuments of the ancient city with their spouses. The Bukhara region was briefed on its potential in digitization, light industry, and electrical engineering. After the events, President Ilhom Aliyev and his spouse were observed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his spouse at Bukhara International Airport. The visit to Bukhara concluded and the president returned to Tashkent.
