Uzbekistan's national team has strengthened its backroom staff under head coach Fabio Cannavaro. The Uzbekistan Football Association has officially added physiotherapist Silvano Cotti and sports nutritionist Andrea Juliano to the coaching setup.

The new specialists have been brought in to oversee players' physical condition, recovery, and dietary plans. Cotti brings extensive international experience, having worked with the Italy national team, clubs like Inter, Milan, Chelsea, and Roma, as well as the China national team. Juliano is a biologist specializing in sports nutrition, with previous roles at Italian club Udinese and the Switzerland U-21 national team.

This move comes as the team handles a challenging period in World Cup qualifying. Uzbekistan currently sits 4th in their group with zero points from three matches and is on a run of five consecutive defeats. With the next fixture against Iran at home on September 24, the addition of Cotti and Juliano is aimed at enhancing player preparation and recovery.
